Bells Rapids Brigadoon
Bells Rapids is a wonderful photo location on the northern end of the Swan Valley near Perth. The raw beauty of the rocky outcrops and flowing water provide many vistas to create some unique feature wedding images. Many couples considering the location have commented that it would be too difficult for wedding car and limousine access but this is not generally true. All of our classic wedding cars and Chrysler limousines can access Bells Rapids.
Caution is required because the red gravel may be a risk for your wedding dress if you are precious about that for the reception. It is not really suitable on or just after heavy rain fall because the dust can turn into a sticky mud which is a serious issue for the wedding cars and you wedding attire.
Access to Bells Rapids
Bells Rapids at the end of Cathedral Avenue Brigadoon is well situated for reception venues situated in the northern end of the Swan Valley such as Belvoir Reception Centre, Brookleigh Estate, Barrett Lane Reception Centre, Sittella Winery, Upper Reach Winery, the Novotel Vines Resort, Valley View Restaurant or the Mallard Duck, however it can be achievable from most Swan Valley venues if you allow enough time.
When visiting take care as you negotiate the crest when entering the reserve. It is a steep blind spot and many drivers speed over the crest which is very dangerous.
If it isn’t perfect for your wedding it is still worth a visit for a weekend picnic and is most picturesque on a sunny day after the winter rains have made their way down the river.
