Limousines at BlueWater Grill
BlueWater Grill Restaurant in Applecross occupies the prime waterfront position at the old Heathcoat Nurses Quarters. The venue has recently rebranded the restaurant as the BWG Steakhouse but still operates the functions facility in the same manner we have been told.
The historic building is an ideal setting for the restaurant and reception centre. From our experience it is popular as:
- a stand alone wedding reception venue (following church or garden wedding at another location
- an all at one venue wedding utilising the Swan River foreshore area for a garden ceremony
- a corporate function venue
- a great restaurant for celebrating family occasions or a special night with a loved one.
Limo access at BlueWater Grill
The entrance to the BlueWater Grill is via an access loop between buildings. It was not designed with stretch limousines in mind but in most instances all limos can access and negotiate the drop-off zone and turn through the round-a-bout. It may take a couple of swings at the corner for a Chrysler limousine.
Wedding Cars at BlueWater Grill
Classic wedding cars are well suited to the Federation architecture of the BlueWater Grill and associated buildings. The roads and turning zone are fine for all sedans and smaller limousines.
Occasionally wedding guests park outside of the designated bays greatly restricting the turning circle near the restaurant entrance which could prevent access by larger stretch limousines. Unless they can negotiate the round-a-bout they can be caught in a awkward position which is difficult to reverse out from – especially at night. It is wise to advise your wedding guests not to park in the immediate area around the BlueWater Grill entrance. Reserve this space for special guests and the wedding transport.
Riverside Reception Area
The riverside is ideal for all at one venue weddings with spacious grounds alongside the period brickwork of the buildings.
Late night get-aways
Belle Classic Limousines offer late night transfers for weddings we assist with during the course of the day. Caprice chauffeur cars are the most common form of hire car for an end of night transfer.
BlueWater Grill is a lovely venue to travel from to a city hotel in a classic Rolls Royce or Jaguar convertible on a warm summer’s night.
We recommend that you pre-book your end of night get-away for the bride and groom and special guests. Whilst central to Perth the Blue Water grill is not in a peak taxi and Uber location. Whilst these services have a large number of vehicles operating they accumulate in high volume areas like the city and Crown Casino. Remember that weddings wind up between 11.00pm and 12.00am, the same time frame as hotels close, restaurants and entertainment venues also release 1000s of patrons to make their way home. When you consider that your wedding may be one of 10 – 20 finishing in your general area the total demand for short call transport can easily overwhelm the supply of cars resulting in lengthy waiting times for hopeful guests looking for a ride home.
