Swan Valley Wine Tours
Guildford and the Swan Valley have been the farm lands for the city of Perth since the settlement of the Swan River colony in the early 1800’s. In the early days the main mode of transport to the valley produce supplies was river boats and barges and horse drawn carriages between the farms and the jetties.
Whilst you can still enjoy a leisurely wagon ride through the valley along West Swan Road and a river cruise to a winery for lunch the main form of dedicated transport to the Swan Valley are the stream of stretched limousines, Chrysler limos, family sedans, 4WDs and tourist buses bringing visitors to sample the many treats available in the wineries and breweries of the area.
Fruit and vegetable stalls, table grape vineyards and many other small farms still vend their wares to the passing motorists taking advantage of the popularity of the Swan Valley. Several have become tourist attractions which are popular stops during a wine tour.
