Adventures in a wedding limousine
Sara and Brett’s wedding in the northern suburbs of Perth featured a church we rarely visit and some great but under-used wedding photo locations. The weather on the day was also unusual with long periods of bright sunlight and 100’s of mini storm clouds passing over the Perth metro area. One minute it was fine followed by ten minutes of heavy rain and then more sunshine – very strange.
The St Simon Peter Catholic Church can cater for large wedding groups, has plenty of parking for guests and is very central to the northern metro wedding photography and reception venues. The large set-down zone at the church entry is a bonus for couples choosing a Chrysler limousine for their wedding transport. Many of the older churches around Perth are not designed for catering to stretch limousines.
The couple took advantage of a loop-de-loop Birthday Limousine Hire to transfer both the groom’s party and the bridal party to the ceremony at the church and then having room for the whole wedding party for the cruise around the local area for feature wedding photos.
The Yellagonga Regional Park off Ocean Reef Road has several interesting backdrops for wedding photos. The professional images taken around the partially rebuilt cottage on the grounds will be spectacular if the few taken by chauffeur Mark on the day are an indication. Interestingly the rain that fell on the day seems to have added to the colour depth and light in the photos.
As with all photography locations the talent of a professional photographer will create some wonderful images from unexpected backdrops. The group moved onto to a nearby pine forest and Iluka Beach for more photos before heading to the reception.
