Mandoon Estate Winery
Mandoon is one of the Swan Valley’s most popular venues. Opened in November 2014 the ultra modern complex (as seen in the picture below) houses Mandoon Estate cellar door (centre), the Homestead Brewery (left of picture), a top level restaurant (behind the cellar door) as well as a large function / wedding reception venue overlooking the Swan River (right of picture). It is a unique business model for the Swan Valley – housing four separate, though integrated hospitality businesses. The combination of offerings and family friendly nature of the venue are the keys to its success.

Since opening Mandoon quickly became a ‘go to’ venue for families and groups of friends looking for weekend entertainment and it operates at capacity most Saturdays and Sundays. During the evening the reception room caters for weddings and corporate functions.
Wine tours at Mandoon Estate
The estate attracts wine lovers and beer swillers alike. The combination means everybody in your group has a beverage to put a smile on there face. If anything the popularity of the venue for self drive family groups has restricted its suitability for wine tours on Saturdays and Sundays. From midday till 3.00pm the venue is at capacity on most weekends and they do not take tour bookings during this period. Even if you want to stop for lunch at Homestead brewery the latest formal booking time is 12.00 noon on the weekend. After this you will need to do battle with the crowd which could mean a long wait for a table and a meal which isn’t suitable for tour groups.
Weddings at Mandoon Estate
The reception area is quite flexible and can house an enormous single wedding or be divided to house two or three smaller weddings.
The venue has beautiful lawned gardens between the new building and the original Roe cottage that would be perfect for an ‘all at one venue’ garden ceremony. Most couples use the lawn at the riverside of the Roe Cottage for their ceremony facing the Swan River and large tree.
Limousine access to Mandoon Estate
Mandoon is a well planned venue that can accommodate classic wedding cars like our Rolls Royce Wraith in harmony with the historic Roe cottage and can also handle large stretched Chrysler limousines and buses with ease. The large crowd it attracts on weekends can make parking an issue, especially if is required near the reception venue. Wedding reception drop-offs can be in the formal set down zone in front of the cellar door or over near the Roe cottage requiring a walk across the lawn. Be warned the speed humps in Mandoon Estate are severe. They do the job of slowing traffic but will do damage to low cars and limousines if driven over too quickly.
