Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club
The Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club is a popular wedding reception venue for the western suburbs of Perth. The yacht club offers its facilities to members and their families. It is one of the most exclusive wedding venues in Perth with a stunning view of the Swan River over Freshwater Bay and access to the grounds during the reception.
Like many of the yacht clubs offering receptions the gate is operated by security during the afternoon and evening so guests cars are secure when parked. The gate operates automatically on departure but on occasions we have had difficulty getting access to the venue at the end of night to pick up the bride and groom for the end of reception get-away. It will be wise to alert a guest or family member to be vigilant to alert staff that the chauffeur cars are expected when getting close to the end of night.
The drive to the club house / reception venue can accommodate large stretch limousine as well as traditional bridal cars with ample room for turning if the guests park within the designated parking bays. Members of the club have been known to be less than patient with wedding limousines in the drive ways so it is appreciated if your group can assist with releasing the cars promptly on arrival and the bride and groom be timely for the end of night departure.
End of night get-aways
Taxis have the same difficulty accessing RFBYC as late night chauffeur cars, however, the taxi drivers are less patient waiting for access and are often reluctant to attend the venue. As mentioned above, if you have booked a chauffeur car get-away, alert a family member or guest to watch out for your chauffeur car and inform RFBYC staff that your car is expected near the end of the night.
